This policy explains how Progressive Consultants LLC, doing business as Quietdesk ("Quietdesk," "we," "us"), collects, uses, and protects information when you visit our website or use our services.
Information we collect
From you as a customer: your name, email, business name, store details, and the answers you provide in our setup form. Payment details are processed by Shopify and its payment partners; we do not receive or store your full card number.
From your store and inbox, to provide the service: when you grant us access, we process order information (such as order numbers, items, fulfillment and tracking status) and support messages from your customers, which may include their names, email addresses, and shipping details.
From website visits: standard information collected by Shopify, such as device, browser, and pages viewed, as described in Shopify's privacy policy.
How we use information
- To set up, operate, and improve your Quietdesk service
- To draft and send support replies on your behalf and route tickets to your team
- To bill you and communicate with you about your account
- To comply with legal obligations
We do not sell personal information, and we do not use your customers' data for advertising.
Your customers' data
When we process your customers' information, we do so on your behalf and only to provide the service to you. You remain responsible for giving your customers any notices required by law about how their support messages are handled.
Service providers
We use trusted third-party providers to run the service, which may include Shopify (store platform and payments), AI model providers (to read support messages and draft replies), automation tools (to connect systems), and email and productivity tools. These providers process information only as needed to perform their services for us.
Data retention and deletion
We keep information only as long as needed to provide the service and meet legal obligations. Within 30 days after your subscription ends, we remove our access to your store and inbox and delete your store's customer data from our systems, except where we are required to keep records by law. You may request deletion earlier by contacting us.
Security
We connect to your store through Shopify's collaborator and permission system and to your inbox through user invitations, never shared passwords, and we request only the access needed to provide the service. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect information.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete your personal information. To make a request, contact us at the email below.
Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the updated version on this page with a new effective date.
